Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade

It’s almost the end of November, which means one thing: Christmas. And the city of Sparks is ready. On December 7 in Victorian Square, the City of Sparks will hold its annual Hometowne Christmas Parade. Festivities will start at 10:30 am at the Sparks Heritage Museum for kids to take photos with Santa. The parade will start at 1:00 pm and will end by 2:30, and the Hug High School pep band will be attending!

The theme for the parade this year is “around the world,” so each float will be celebrating all the different ways we spend the holidays throughout the world. Many different companies and programs participate in the parade, such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and local businesses. All are encouraged to come; it’s free! The night before will also be full of festivities with the tree lighting on December 6th in Victorian Square at 6 pm, which is also free! These are both family-friendly events so young children are welcome to come. So, get in the Christmas spirit and come support the Hug High School band members and other students who may participate in the parade (myself included)!
